How can I check apartment availability?
You will need to contact our reservation team via our contact us page or by using the request a quotation page. We will contact you within 24 hours to advise of availability.

What is the minimum length of stay?
Christchurch Accommodation has options for single night stays as well as longer stays. Simply contact us and we will happily provide you with a quote for the number of nights you require and the accommodation matches best suited to your enquiry.

How far in advance can I book an apartment?
Demand for our accommodation is high and we recommend you book early to avoid disappointment.

What is your check in and check out times?
Check in for all accommodations is 2pm however we do our best to accommodate early arrivals. if your room is already made up you are welcome to check in early otherwise bags can be stored until the apartment is available. Checkout time is 10am however if you would like a later checkout please don’t hesitate to ask and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

I have submitted my booking form and credit card - what happens now?
Our customer service team promptly process all accommodation requests (normally within 24 hours) and your reservation confirmation will then be sent to you via email. If your choice of Apartment is not available for the dates you require we will advise accordingly and recommend alternatives.

How can I amend or cancel my reservation?
Should you wish to amend or cancel your existing booking, please contact us as soon as possible and we will advise specific to your accommodation reservation. Simply go to the contact us page.

What is your cancellation policy?
All accommodation reservations carry cancellation fees. Fees are dependent on the time of cancellation prior to reservation arrival, the length of your reservation and the accommodation provider. A full cancellation policy applicable to your reservation is advised in your confirmation letter. Cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card number supplied to secure your booking.

Can I book an apartment without a credit card?
Christchurch Accommodation require your credit card details as a form of guarantee to reserve an apartment. This is why a credit card is needed - to guarantee the booking - until the credit card guarantee is received, no reservation can be made.

Is it safe to use my credit card?
Yes. We treat the security of our guest’s information very seriously. To ensure your security, all credit card transactions are secured by SSL, which encrypts the credit card number so as to make it unavailable to any other party.

When is full payment required?
Generally speaking, payment is required on arrival. Some apartment providers do not accept credit card. Payment method specific to your accommodation reservation will be advised to you in your confirmation letter.

What currency are prices quoted in?
All prices quoted are New Zealand Dollars (NZD)

What happens if I decide I want to leave sooner than originally planned when I first made my booking?
Each Accommodation provider has a different policy. Please contact us in the first instance and we will advise. Generally speaking unless we can obtain a new booking to accommodate that apartment, there will be no refund on the full cost of accommodation.

What is provided in self catering apartments?
A fully self-contained/catering apartment means all our apartments offer most of the conveniences you enjoy in your own home. Full kitchen and cooking facilities (including dishwasher and fridge/freezer), separate bathroom, a laundry that includes a washing machine and dryer, and a living/dining area. Each apartment has an initial “starter” kit of basic supplies required on arrival. Your full apartment compendium shows you where the nearest convenience and grocery stores are for larger supplies. We are also happy to shop for larger supplies to have in your room on arrival. Please contact us if you would like to utilize this.

How often will the apartment be serviced?
All accommodation is professionally clean and ready for your arrival on your first day. The Poplars service daily with most other accommodation serviced weekly unless otherwise stated with additional servicing being available on request. All apartments have their own laundry facilities with additional linen supplies.

How many guests can stay in each apartment?
Each accommodation provider is different. We will advise at the time of enquiry on the accommodation match most suitable for your needs.

Is your accommodation suitable for children?
Two bedroom accommodation is most suitable for children. All one bedroom apartments are queen sized beds. Some accommodations do have room for a rollaway bed. Please ensure you let us know how many children are in your traveling party so we can advise on the best accommodation match for your reservation.

Do you have non-smoking rooms available?
All our accommodation is non-smoking. Therefore if you would like to smoke you will need to go outside, as all apartments are smoke-free.

Do you have Internet access?
Each apartment has a telephone line for dial in internet access which works well if you have a local New Zealand Internet Service Provider. We also have a range of apartments that offer Highspeed Internet connections so if this feature is important for you please let us know on your initial enquiry form.

What onsite amenities are provided at the accommodations?
Please refer to the individual pages on our website pertaining to each apartment provider. These pages detail the on-site amenties available. Several have on-site gyms and heated pools with Terrace on the Park having the addition of a tennis court, spa and sauna to really make the most of your recreation time.

Are the Apartments provided by Christchurch Accommodation a safe and secure place to stay?
Yes! Entrance to all apartment providers shown on our website is via secure access only.

Are your apartments centrally located and close to public transportation?
Yes. All Apartments are perfectly located for people who come to Christchurch to take advantage of the city. Please refer to the city map provided at the Location Map page to locate your preferred accommodation option.

What about property or chattel damage?
All Apartments are fully furnished, therefore any damage to the property or chattels caused by guests will be charged to the guest who made the booking. Should you find anything damaged prior to your stay, please advise us immediately. Failure to do so will deem you to be totally responsible for the condition of the property on departure.

How far are Christchurch Accommodation Apartments located from Christchurch Airport?
All accommodation is located within 10kms of the airport.

Are airport transfers available?
Courtesy transportation is not available. A wide range of transport modes operate from the airport into the city with prices ranging from $5pp on the airport Bus to approximately $30 for a taxi. A shuttle will cost you approximately $14pp.

How long does it take to drive from the Airport to the city?
You will be at your preferred accommodation within 25 minutes if using a taxi. Shuttles and buses take a little longer.
